What Is Griot Festival?
We started Griot Festival with a simple belief: Haitian culture deserves a world-class stage.
For too long, the richness of Haitian food, music, art, and heritage has been hidden from mainstream America — even in Florida, home to one of the largest Haitian diaspora communities in the world.
Griot Festival changes that.
Named after "griot" — Haiti's most iconic dish and a symbol of the labor, love, and resilience Haitian people pour into everything we do — this festival is a one-day celebration of everything that makes Haitian culture extraordinary.
